Exhibition of Theodore D. Robinson

During your visit to the Grande Cave, discover the exhibition of paintings by the artist Theodore D. Robinson , present from June 1 to 30, 2023 . The works will be exhibited in the emblematic alley of bicentennial vats, within the cellar itself. You can end this walk with a free tasting of our wines of Collioure and Banyuls.

This exhibition of contemporary photos will blend with the unique charm of our Cellar steeped in history, to offer you a unique experience of its kind, combining heritage and modernity.

Theodore D. Robinson is an artist and photographer specializing in portraiture. He lives between Palm Springs (California) and the south of France, in a small village near the Spanish border.

Although he only performs portraits For the most part, it is complex to categorize Theodore into a single artistic genre. Indeed, he uses both ink and pencils in his drawings, he also mixes watercolor and acrylic in his paintings, not to mention the use of spray paint (which allows him to create unique funds of their kind)...

Theodore D. Robinson's work is rather photorealist , but he feels it is more accurate to describe it as "photo-idealist". He believes he could be part of a new art movement, in a post-Photoshop and post-digital world, in which retro or Old-School artists would be highly valued, and even preferred over modern visual tricks.
