The Collioure Rouge Expressions Catalanes collection is making a comeback

Discover the new vintage of our red Collioure vintage “Expressions Catalanes” !

 

 

The Collioure vintage is imbued with ancestral traditions and Catalan identity . This cuvée developed to match the famous Catalan character was aged in stainless steel vats for 4 years, allowing it to develop and fully express its terroir.

Expressions Catalanes is a tailor-made collection that promises a tasting with a singing accent! A variation of 15 labels bringing together our most typical expressions and emblematic phrases from our Catalan ancestors. This sentimental cuvée embodied by a 2020 vintage Collioure red composed of the emblematic grape varieties of the vineyard, pays homage to our land of Grenache .

A great introduction to our rich regional culture which will allow you to deepen your knowledge and introduce you to this exceptional region in a fun way. To assist you, each box is provided with a list of Catalan expressions with their translation and their way of being used... now, it's up to you!

This characteristic vintage offers a suppleness on the palate which allows it to be invited to all tables from the aperitif to accompany your tapas based on charcuterie and pa amb tomaquèt (typical Catalan tomato and garlic bread). Very well seated, it will enhance your grilled Catalan sausages, blood sausages, boutifares, roustes and the famous Ouillade!

 

 

“Menja i calla”: Eat and shut up • Popular Catalan expression addressed to chatters.
“Beure un cop”: Have a drink.
"Mar i tramuntana": Sea and Tramontane • Are the two characteristic elements of our vineyard. The Mediterranean Sea brings the iodized side to our vintages and the Tramontane is a beneficial wind for the quality of our grapes.

 

 

“What is it?” : What is it?
“Poc a poc”: Little by little • Common winegrower expression for patiently working the vines.
“Fa temps”: A long time ago • Expression commonly used by winegrowers to remember a tradition of yesteryear.

 

 

“El casot”: Le Cabanon • Emblem of the Banyulenc vineyard, small house where winegrowers store their tools, take shelter or have a bite to eat.
“Peus de gall”: Rooster’s foot • Catalan name given to the rainwater collection network. To prevent erosion of Schist terraces.

“Adiu”: Hello • Common expression to greet each other.
“Sempre endavant”: Always forward • Slogan of the Catalan rudby team USAP.

“Que vaji bé”: Be well • Affective mark to say goodbye, may everything be well.

 

 

“El vi bo”: Good wine.
“El tap i l'ampolla”: The cork and the bottle • Popular expression highlighting an inseparable duo with opposite physique.
“Good profit”: Enjoy your food.
