The International Competition of Grenaches of the World, created by The Interprofessional Council of Roussillon Wines brings together appellation wines, made from at least 51% Grenache Noir, Gris and Blanc grape varieties from around the world, and submits them to tasting by a jury of professionals to distinguish the best.
The main objectives of the Grenaches du Monde Competition are to promote quality wines from all varieties of the Grenache grape variety , to encourage the production of Grenache and to stimulate its consumption on an international scale. It also aims to disseminate and promote the distinctive characteristics of these wines to the general public worldwide. The award-winning wines help consumers to distinguish the best Grenaches from the world's production thanks to a quality label , thus offering a criterion of selection and confidence in the face of an increasingly complex production.
