This wine is part of the AOP Côtes du Roussillon " Escapade en Roussillon " range. Also available in rosé and white .
In the heart of the picturesque valleys of the north-east of the Pyrénées-Orientales department, near the village of Baixas, nestles the terroir where our latest vintage was born: Escapade en Roussillon , AOP Côtes du Roussillon. Coming from vines caressed by the breezes of the Agly valley, this red wine embodies the passion for our region.
This terroir of limestone and schist is distinguished by its low altitude and its distance from the Mediterranean Sea, giving the vines unique conditions to flourish. It is in this landscape that these grape varieties find their most authentic expression, nourished by the mineral richness of the soil and the generosity of the climate.
Composed of Grenache Noir (40%), Syrah (40%) and Mourvèdre (20%), our Côtes du Roussillon red is the fruit of traditional vinification, where the grapes are destemmed and crushed before a short maceration. This approach favors the pure expression of the fruit.
When tasting, our red wine seduces with its deep, bright red color tending towards purple, announcing a very rich sensory experience. On the nose, the aromas of very ripe red fruits, such as strawberry and raspberry, captivate the senses, evolving with aeration towards darker nuances of blackberry, orange juice and star anise. On the palate, its smooth roundness highlights the fruits of the nose, offering a perfect balance between freshness and indulgence.
This fruit-based wine is the perfect companion for any occasion. Pair it with terrines and pâtés en croûte for an aperitif, or pair it with grilled meats for a meal. It also pairs perfectly with soft cheeses and bloomy rinds, offering a harmonious and generous palette of flavors.
