Terre de Vins is a reference and leading media in France on the theme “Wine and Art of Living”. Read by 300,000 readers, distributed in 5 countries and benefiting from 130,000 subscribers on social networks, Terre de Vins provides undeniable expertise , thanks also to its journalists and partners, sommeliers, wine merchants and oenologists.
The synergy between the Terre de vins Competition and the media Terre de vins allows this competition to take place all year round. Every week, samples arrive randomly at the editorial office of “Terre de vins”. If major subjects structure the nine annual issues of the magazine, it is impossible for journalists to taste, rate and comment on all the appellations of France.
This competition therefore constitutes a formidable database which will feed Terre de vins from January to December, will feed sections, enrich the Cuisine, Nuggets or Selection pages, and will provide an unstoppable summary to readers.
The competition is governed by two main stages of selection :
- A first selection bringing together 70 tasters to distinguish the gold and silver medals.
- Secondly, the editorial team, supported by a close team of experts, will carry out a second layer of selection in order to award favorites selected among the gold medals.
Expertise and rigor , the key words of the work carried out by “Terre de vins”, do not prohibit simplicity: all wines can indeed compete. The harsh law of etiquette will not work: it is blind tasting who will be queen.
