This year, we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of the most emblematic jewels of our cellar: the AOP Banyuls Grand Cru Viviane Leroy vintage 2004. Known for its strong character and distinguished elegance, this vintage is also the most masculine in our collection, a tribute to the strength and depth of great wines.
An amber treasure with emerald reflections
At first glance, the 2004 vintage imposes its presence with an amber and copper color , enhanced by a fringe with emerald green highlights, a promise of its complexity and richness.
- On the nose , intense aromas of venison, undergrowth and roasted coffee prevail. A subtle touch of licorice adds a balanced freshness to this robust profile.
- On the palate , this vintage reveals a racy balance, marked by notes of Corinthian grapes and leather, for a finish of remarkable length.
Its strong personality makes it a vintage designed for lovers of powerful and structured wines, to be enjoyed at special times.
An exceptional companion for your food and wine pairings
Ideally served around 13°C , this Banyuls Grand Cru is an ideal ally for dishes in sauce and sophisticated recipes:
🍖 Game stews or other meats with intense flavors.
🧀 Blue cheeses for a harmonious marriage between power and softness.
🍫 And at the end of the meal, it also enhances desserts or can be enjoyed alone, like a precious nectar.
A legacy forged by time
After a long aging period of up to 8 years in oak barrels , it benefited from refining in bottles in our underground cellars , guaranteeing perfect maturity and complex aromas.
A historical detail that makes this vintage even more precious: its label bears the name Cellier des Templiers , the former name of our cellar, now renamed Terres des Templiers .
Treat yourself to a memorable tasting 🍷
This masculine and refined Grand Cru will seduce lovers of exceptional wines with its intensity and depth. A vintage of history and character, to discover and savor.
