Gilbert & Gaillard Competition

The Gilbert & Gaillard Competition annually recognizes the world's finest wines. Created by two passionate French tasters, Philippe Gaillard and François Gilbert, it is now recognized in more than 25 countries.

Each wine is tasted blind by a jury of independent experts. Only the most balanced, expressive and terroir-defining vintages are awarded a Gilbert & Gaillard medal .

When a Terres des Templiers wine is distinguished by this competition, it is all the work of our winegrowers that is highlighted: their high standards, their patience, and their desire to transmit the best of our Banyuls and Collioure hillsides.

A medal that testifies to a recognized quality , but above all to an authenticity that you can taste in each glass.

2 stars / Guide 2026

"Traditionally, this mahogany-colored cuvée travels between fig, prune, blond tobacco, undergrowth, a hint of walnut and acacia honey. The tour is delicate, smooth, long and elegant."

1 star / Guide 2026

"This cuvée, with its attractive, bright garnet color and still in the vigor of youth, delivers an intense and complex bouquet: peach, candied blackberry, fig, prune, tobacco, walnut, honey. A true aromatic festival that finds a beautiful echo in an intense, powerful mouth, supported by tannins that are still very present."

2 stars & Favorite / 2026 Guide

"The search for the total extraction of the grape's components is evident from the outset with a dark wine, a purple color with violet highlights. On the nose, cherry combines with small forest fruits on a vanilla background, with that iodized touch "of a grape that has seen the sea". Beautiful aromatic continuity around a ripe and omnipresent fruitiness in a delicious and powerful palate at the same time, very fresh and velvety, with a sweetness well held by the grain of the tannins and the discreet toast of the barrel. In a word, tasty, and for a long time."
